Deployment QuickStart

Overview
aspenONE provides web access to Aspen Plus and HYSYS models and plant data.
The aspenONE installation includes these components:
1. Enterprise Server: Enables search and web-based access to Aspen Plus and HYSYS.
2. Simulations Services: Enables any machine to be used with Aspen Plus and HYSYS
to run models.
3. Plant Data Web Server: Enables web access to plant data.

aspenONE Configuration
aspenONE is installed on a dedicated Windows Server 2008 R2 SP2 machine in the
www.aspentech.com application users’ corporate domain and administered by a local administrator. The
installation administrator should have read access to all models to be indexed and should not
be an aspenONE user account. See Chapter 2 for hardware and software requirements.
Activating Plant Data requires the aspenONE Process Explorer be connected to the data
Worldwide HQ historian.

 If users want to access plant data for models, aspenONE Process Explorer must be
installed. See the aspenONE Process Explorer installation and configuration guides for more
information.

 Install and configure aspenONE. If you are using live plant data, enter
the URL of the aspenONE Process Explorer server (Chapters 7).
 Configure aspenONE Jobs with Schedule Manager (the File Scanner component) and start
the jobs to automatically index content (Chapter 9)
 Grant permissions to users or groups to access aspenONE (Chapters 7)
 Configure email alerts to get updates when models are updated (Chapter 10)

User Access
Desktop/Laptop: Internet Explorer 10 and Google Chrome. See Chapters 2, and 7.
iPad: iOS 7.0 and higher.
