1. Trefoil clamp – Technical Requirement.

i. Material & Mechanical properties.
ii. Spacing for trefoil clamp
iii. Distance between cables.

2. Cables – Design life of cable

i. Effect of harmonics on the cable life.
ii. Point No.: 36
During Motor- 1.2 Running in low rpm speed and noticed that the VFD- TOWER-B MAIN
panel Line Current is high 160 Amps until panel EMG stop pressed, due to this DG set side
found abnormal noise.

3. Motor
i. Locking torque/coupling torque
ii. Pullout torque.
iii. Encoder Feedback failure

4. Operating sequence of Electromechanical system

i. Starting:
 Mechanical drum brake open, Hydraulic drum break, Clutch in open, VFD / Motor ON
 Condition for coupling
VFD / Motor ON  Lock up torque/coupling torque reached  Clutch Engage 
VFD follow the torque curve
 Time sequence
Drum brake, Hydraulic brake, VFD / Motor, clutch Engage.
ii. Stopping:
 Sequence of operation for VFD, DBR, Clutch, Hydraulic brake, Drum brake for the
sequence of operation with internal.
 Point no.: 19, In the Brake logic a 5 secs delay is introduced in such way the Drum
brake will be applied after 5 sec of Hydraulic brake application.
iii. Emergency step:
 Operating sequence with Time Interval for Hydraulic brake, Clutch, Mechanical drum
brake, Motor Power (VFD).
 Point no.: 58, For operation and sequence of braking during normal/ emergency mode
specific input from OEM are required to finetune the Logic program by M/s.
Controlcare.
5. Reference point / setting with tolerance.
i. For Load pin / wire rope tension (24 Nos), Laser Probe (4 Nos).
ii. Incase of obstruction / flying birds nuisance trip protection
iii. Point no.: 28, Tolerance on speed, Toque, Deck Position, Temperature and Wire Rope
tension are required for M/s. Controlcare to include in Trip/Annunciation logic.
iv. Point no.: 50, Laser Probe signal not included in PLC Trip logic for Manual/Auto
operation.
v. Point no.: 51, Wire Rope tension signal not included PLC Trip logic for Manual/Auto
operation.
vi. Point no.: 55, Reference values, backup protection signals for Deck position/Lift Span
required for introducing in the logic by M/s. Controlcare.
vii. Point no.: 27, The Analog Input (A1) signals could not distinguished the device failure /
connection failure.

6. Clutch
i. Two sensors provided, type of operation / logic / redundancy.
ii. Point no.: 40, Both Proximity Sensor in EM Clutch are configured in OR logic to have
redundancy. If both sensor fails it will be critical and Trip will be activated.

7. Primary gearbox:

i. Point no.: 42, A sensor mounted in Primary Gearbox near high speed shaft (HSS). There
is no details available for the Output / signal. Further there is no connecting cable with
adaptor supplied.

ii. Point no.: 43, DUO10A Unit provided in the Primary and Gearbox – The details of
Digital output signals and its significant is not clear to include in the logic with
classification for Alarm/Trip/Event/Popup message.

iii. Point no.: 44, There is a port provided for Oil level signal in the Primary & Gearbox,
however there is no connecting cable with adaptor supplied. Due to this we have
simulated this signal included in the logic during testing.

iv. Point no.: 45, Resolution for incorporation of High Speed Sensor (HSS) in the Logic
required by M/s. Controlcare.

8. Hydraulic Power pack:

i. Point no.: 45, In Hydraulic Power Pack Unit, the clogging sensor/ device not provided.
Hence this signal is simulated during testing.

ii. Point no.: 57, Hydraulic Brake open feedback signal required for Hydraulic Power Pack
control logic as required by M/s. Controlcare. to be discussed and with TYPSA
