Carla is currently studying in a prestigious private campus in their city as an institution scholar.

She took STEM strand because she’s planning to pursue her dream program which is ENGINEERING.
Carla is a smart girl that’s why she was able to maintain her scholarship up until her 2nd year of Senior
High School. Her parents has no regular income and sometimes they’re just working on their small farm
but still supporting her fully and they’re of course hopeful towards their only child’s success.

Carla is a good student and a daughter, polite, obedient, and she knows her boundaries. Even though
Carla has entered into a romantic relationship with Jayson, she knows very well her limitations.

[at the school.]

Laura: “Best naa daw tay new teacher, anak sa Principal, maoy mohandle sa atong calculus subject.”

Carla: “Ahh napulihan na diay si Ma’am Lesel, unta dli terror best.”

Laura: “Base sa iyang porma ganina, seryosohon siya best, liwat sa atong principal, mga early 30 na
siguro siya kay--.”

Their conversation stopped the moment Mr. Reymond—the new teacher of their class entered their
room.
Sir Reymond “Good morning class.”

Student: “Good morning Sir.”

Sir Reymond: “Pls be seated, and let me introduce myself to you class, I am Reymond Buenaventura, the
only son of your school principal. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Manila, and it’s my 8th
years of teaching this year.” The teacher said with a serious tone with an excessive pride on his voice
while walking and walking in front of the students.

Sir Reymond: “Probably, you class will get to know myself more as the day passes by.”

“So get 1 whole sheet of paper to answer this diagnostic test.”

*/ the students are shocked but still they follows the instructions.

Laura: “Best ayaw baya ug panabon ha, wala gyud ko ga review gabie.”

Carla: “Dili lagi, as long as kahibaw ko sa answer mohatag gyud ko basta ikaw.”

Laura: “Thanks best, but-an gyud ka pareson jud mo ni gaw Jayson hahaha.”

Carla: “Shhh hinaya na imong tingog, kay wala pa ta kahibaw unsa ka strict si Sir.”

Everything went well according to Carla’s plan. She excelled in every academic performances together
with her best friend.

All of her achievements is dedicated to her supportive parents, and all she wanted to is to be successful.

[at school.]
Sir Reymond: I’ve already checked your papers and the one who got the highest score is Miss Carla. So
far, I’m happy with the result of your exam class.

Student applauded*

Carla smiled awkwardly back to Mr. Reymond who smiled to her first. It was a sincere but somehow a
creepy smile.

As time passes by, Carla becomes close to Mr. Reymond. She is one call person to him in terms of
academic matters.

Carla: Guys, today at 3:00pm ang due sa written activity nga gihatag ni Sir, ug gisugo ko nyag pa collect sa
inyong papers. Palihog lang ko ha.”

Laura: Di ara akoa best, late na sd ka mouli unya?

Carla: Medyo best, kay gisugo pako. Pwede ra kaayo mouna kag uli best.

Laura: Oh sige best, amping ka ha.

On the other hand, Sir Reymond is already planning to commit the unlawful act to his student named
Carla. He bought a coffee and put some drug into it and offer it to Carla as a thank you offer for all Carla’s
help to him .

As the sun sets, Carla is innocently walking towards Mr. Reymond office with the papers of her
classmates. Carla didn’t hesitate to knock the door the moment she arrives Infront of Mr Reymond’s
office.

*knock²

*doors open

Carla: “Good afternoon Sir, diara ang papers namo sir.”

Sir Reymond:“Good afternoon, kindly put it there lang,(pointing the space of the chair while his attention
is in his cellphone.)

Carla: Sige Sir. (carla followed the instruction)

Sir Reymond: And accept this coffee, my way of expressing gratefulness. Have a seat Carla and enjoy
your coffee.

(Sir Reymond handed the coffee to Carla while smiling weirdly that makes Carla uncomfortable.)

Carla: Ahm thank you sir.

Carla had a seat besides her teacher’s table and had a sip of the coffee.

Sir Reymond: You’re very a hardworking student, and I’m happy for you.

Carla: Para jud ni tanan sa akong parents sir.

*Carla continued drinking the coffee and has no idea about Sir Reymond dark plan.*

After almost 5 minutes, Carla felt a dizziness and something heat from her body.

Confuse of what’s going on is evidently showing on Carla’s face, as she touched her side head. Sir
Reymond is just staring at her with desires.

Carla faced him with a questioning look.

Carla: Sir, I’m not feeling well—nalipong ko , pwede nko mouli Si—
Sir Reymond: Nor yet Carla, I’m not yet done.

Sir Reymond stood and walk towards Carla, and he can feel that Carla is scared of his response.Sir
Reymond stood Infront of her and touched her head and then her face that made Carla froze.

Sir Reymond: You’re such a pretty girl, and I know you don’t disobey instructions.

Carla: Sir please mouli nako—

Carla didn’t finish her words because of a feeling that’s burning up inside her body.

Carla already suspected that there’s something wrong with the coffee that made her feel something
unusual and caused dizziness to her.

Sir Reymond: I said I’m not yet done, don’t be a brat!

Carla’s fear is shown as she stood up to walk out but she failed to because she almost stumble if Sir
Reymond didn’t hold her arms.

Sir Reymond: Be a good girl and everything will be fine.

He pushed Carla back to her seat and started touching her body. Carla’s vision is already blurry and all
she do is protecting herself, she couldn’t speak because her body is saying opposite to her mind, she just
keep pushing Mr Reymond while crying.

That day,Mr Reymond successfully made his evil plan towards Carla.

While Carla after what happened couldn’t believe while crying. She couldn’t remember everything that
happened but she could remember that there’s disgusting thing happened to her and Mr Reymond. Her
body tells the same also.

Everything was heavy to Carla, she was raped and abbused but she couldn’t fight for herself because of
Mr Reymond blackmailing her.
Sir Reymond: Everything was recorded honey, and it shows that you responded to me. You enjoyed what
happened as you can see it in a video. And remember, once you do an action against me you will lost
everything you have, your scholarship, your reputations, and your home. Everyone will look down on
you, because remember I am the son of this School’s Principal. I can manipulate everything to clean my
name and replace you.

Carla just stared blankly and couldn’t think about herself anymore, she can’t believed that this person
she respected is an evil.

Carla : Demonyo ka, abusive!!!! Abusive! Abusive!!

Carla just cried while a person next to her is sitting calmly like nothing happened, like he didn’t
committed a crime.

Sir Reymond: Think about it Carla, yourself or your everything. Get out of this room and pretend like
nothing and everything will be kept in my hands only.

With all Carla’s force she stood facing Mr Reymond angrily and slapped her before running away out of
his office.

Carla couldn’t protect herself because she’s just a poor human being, she will just be manipulated by
Him. And she couldn’t give up her scholarship, reputation nor public profile and chooses her dignity and
rights. She is almost there, graduation is fast approaching.

After the next days, Carla couldn’t focus on her studies anymore, even though she wanted to forget
everything because she knows she can’t fight and her parents will be in danger. All she can do as of now
is to protect herself against misconception and judgments and protect her parents even though it cost
her dignity.

Many days has passed and she’s trying to forget everything and pretend like it never happened even
though every time he sees Mr Reymond she couldn’t keep her tears from falling, the feeling of being
abused won’t leave her. She can’t tell everything to her boyfriend, and she think that her boyfriend
doesn’t deserve a dirty one, she’s guilty and her conscience is eating her because of hiding the truth
from her boyfriend who has been good to her since day 1. She also didn’t tell the anything to her best
friend. She hid it all to herself only.

Carla: I can protect everything if mas pilion nako nga kalimtan ang nahitabo. Ug akong kalimtan ang
tanan, maka graduate ko dire nga skwelahan ug maka proceed kog college, myself and my parents
dream.

Carla often caught by his best friend staring blankly. Laura notices it.

Laura: Hoi, out of this world na sad ka!

Carla: Ha?

Laura: ga sige lang kag hinoktok ba, sa discussion ni ma’am ganiha gahinoktok ra sad ka. Something
wrong best?

Carla: Ah wala wala best, naa ra koy gi huna² about sa atong graduation.

Laura: Ay sus excited na mopaso among valedictorian.

Carla: ofcourse hahah

*at home*

Carla couldn’t face her boyfriend after what happened but she comforted herself.
Carla: Makalimot rako once wala nako sa campus ug dli nako makakita sa demonyong abusado. Ang
akong paningkamotan makagraduate ko nga walay record.

Carla lived the rest of her high school forgetting that dark night, she’s been trying hidding it and locked it
inside her mind.

Carla successful graduated with high honors, she made her parents and boyfriend proud together with
her best friend.

3 yrs later*

Carla is watching a TV news.*

[And a news about a girl being raped appears on a tv.]

Carla’s memories about that night came back again like it was just happened yesterday, clear.

The dark memories itself unveil again the moment she hear about something that is connected to
abusing and rape. It took many years to her hidding and tried forgetting it by being busy on her College
journey but things keep reminding her. The memories itself couldn’t afford to hide.

Everything is getting worst because everytime she saw a coffee she’s unconsciously trembling of fear, the
memories kept playing in her mind again and again to the point to that she’s responding it with a sudden
collapse. To her, things keeps triggering her trauma.

Laura: Best, you’ve been like that for almost 3yrs, naa kay phobia or what?

Carla just stared blankly and didn’t responded.

Laura: Ga pa check up lagi ka? Last month sad didto tas mall mikalit ra kag pamugnaw, naunsa man jud
ka best? Ga niwang na ka, ug mokalit ra sd daw kag hilak ingon si Jayson while natulog ka.

Carla think that as much as she wanted to have forget and hide exactly the truth, the truth itself wants
justice. And she knows to herself that she cannot hide it to with the rest of her life.
Carla: Best murag dli lang check up need nako.

Laura: Ha?

Carla: It’s a trauma, and I don’t know how to heal it best. Bug-at na kaayo.

Laura: Trauma? Trauma sa?

Carla: memories keep flashing back.

[Carla just cried while leaning her head in Laura’s shouder.]

Laura brought Carla to the therapist and everything that had happened 3 yrs ago was unveiled by Carla
herself in front of her best friend , boy friend and her therapist.

She honestly tell the truth and the things that causes her cry and collapse sometimes.

Therapist: Ahm miss, you can tell me the things that bothers you and triggered you if you’re comfortable
telling it to us, I am not forcing you to tell to me now, but I am encouraging you to fight your fear.

Therapist: That’s the only way to know what are the right way for you to heal. Don’t worry we are here
to guid and support you in your healing process.

Carla did undergo therapy with the help of her boyfriend who accepts her wholely and her parents.
