WRITING AN EMAIL
Objective: to send e-mails
Vocabulary: email heading, email symbols
When do you write an email?
When do we write an email in business?
There are many reasons to write emails in business:
*when we need to confirm phone calls in writing (for example,
when we place an order)
*when we want to communicate with a colleague or a supplier
cheaply and quickly
WHAT’ S AN EMAIL?

Emails are written communications, and their purpose, generally, is to


send information

If we relax the rules of grammar and clear communication, we will fail to


get our message across. So it is important to stick to the usual
guidelines.
VOCABULARY
YOU CAN SEND AN E-MAIL TO SOMEONE, OR E-MAIL THEM. THEY WILL REPLY TO YOUR E-MAIL OR E-MAIL YOU
BACK.
