Detailed Cornbread Making Manual

Ingredients:

1. 1 cup cornmeal

2. 1 cup all-purpose flour

3. 1/4 cup sugar (optional for sweeter cornbread)

4. 4 teaspoons baking powder

5. 1/2 teaspoon salt

6. 1 cup milk

7. 1/4 cup vegetable oil

8. 2 large eggs

9. 1/2 cup canned corn (drained) or fresh corn kernels

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar (if using), baking powder, and salt.

3. In another bowl, beat together milk, vegetable oil, and eggs.

4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Add the corn. Stir until just combined.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.

6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Let the cornbread cool in the pan for a few minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool further.

8. Serve warm with butter, honey, or your choice of toppings.
