Applications are open for a PhD student position at Stefan S. Nicolau Institute of Virology, Bucharest (Romania) in the frame of the project
PCCDI 57/2017 "One Health" multidisciplinary platform for the study of neglected and re-emergent vectorial transmitted diseases (2017-2020)
financed by UEFISCDI, Programme 1 – Developing CD; Subprogram 1.2 Institutional Performance. The main objective of the project is to
establish an extended national network for the study of vectorial diseases at European standards, in institutes with tradition in medical research
from Romanian Academy and Research area, and with researchers with extensive experience in the field.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Eligibility criteria

- A level of education corresponding to completed university studies in Medicine/Veterinary Medicine/Biology/Biochemistry (BSc and
MSc) attested by a diploma
- A proof of present enrollment at a doctoral school in a PhD programme in Medicine/ Veterinary Medicine/Biology/Biochemistry
- Experience in Molecular Biology and Virology is an advantage
- Romanian citizenship or citizens of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA) countries, and residence in
Romania;
- Languages: Romanian – Competent user (C1); English – Independent user (B1)

- Scanned documents proving education and the present enrollment at a doctoral school in Medicine/ Veterinary
Medicine/Biology/Biochemistry
- Documents proving experience in molecular biology/viral diagnosis techniques
- Documents proving the experience; Previous experience in diagnosis of zoonotic/arboviral diseases is an advantage
- An extract from the criminal record
- Medical certificate
