AREA I: HEALTH, NUTRITION AND SAFETY

Standards: The program promotes health, nutrition and safety of infants, toddlers and young children through
Education of the Center staff and parents who are responsible for the implementation of health, nutrition
and safety practices, and the prevention and protection of children from illnesses and injuries.

A. HEALTH AND NUTRITION SERVICES for infants, toddlers and young children are made available in coordination
with the Barangay Health Center/ Rural Health Unit Physician, Midwife, Dentist and the Barangay Health Worker/
Barangay Nutrition Scholar or by a private licensed physician/nurse and dentist. The Early Childhood Care &
Development Center ensures that each child has to a through health and nutritional status assessment using- age-
