You will need:

• A folded piece of card
• Colourful paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• A pencil
• Felt tip pens

1) First, draw and cut a template shape for your qubba or

dome onto card. Make sure this is the correct size and shape
for your pop-up card.

2) Now, draw around this template multiple times onto

colourful paper or card.

3) Cut out all of the outlines you have drawn.

4) Now, take each template outline and fold it in half.

5) The fold line should touch the point at the top of the
domed shape.

6) Now take one of the cut outs and put glue on one of the
outside halves of the folded dome shape.

7) Match up this glued half with a half from another cut

out. Hold them in place until the glue has dried.

8) Then, add glue to the leftover outside half of this second

dome shape. This should be matched up to a half on
another dome cut out.

9) Repeat for all of the halves until you have this 3D dome
shape.

10) Now, take a piece of colourful A5 paper. This will be-

come the mosque building so choose your colour
carefully. Bring the two shortest sides together to fold it in
half lengthways.

11) Now, fold your original template in half and line it up
with the fold line of your paper.

12) Use this dome outline to draw the rest of the mosque
building in proportion. You only need to draw half of the
mosque, with the centre at the fold line in the paper.

13) Cut out this outline.

14) Now glue the mosque and dome onto a piece of folded
A5 card. Take time to make sure the centre line of each
element is aligned with the centre of the folded card.

15) Now add decorations using felt tip pens and extra snips
of paper.

16) You could also choose to add a greeting to your

Ramadan pop-up card.
