harsh criticism of our society often cast a shadow of judgement over those who are

is doing anything for them?

"Feelings are valid, your feelings are valid"...This phrase is often use in
facebook post and even tiktok videos. This may be a simple phrase for someone but
for some this phrase is a big push for them to let our their struggles. Yes, our
feelings are valid, because at the end of the day Antagonizing teenagers with
mental health challenges not only undermines their well-being but also erodes the
sense of community we should be nurturing.

That is why to break this cycle of unending stigmatization against mental health.
We must unite as an as one, fostering the mindset of validating our feelings by
acknowleding that all emotions, whether positive or negative, are natural responses
to the complex journey we call life. When we embrace the notion that everyone's
feelings matter we are extending the though that our feelings goes beyod personal
empowerment: it fosters stronger connections among individiuals in our society.
Society needs to recognice that mental health is not a personal weakness, but a
courageous battle that indvidual faces. School, community and even our own family
must prioritize mental health awareness and foster an open dialogue between parent
to child, teacher to student, and even individuals to individuals to have a
foundation, a safe place where mental health challenged individuals can share their
struggles, without the fear of critisism. And maybe one day, we can break this
stigma, and create a society that fosters the validity of our feelings...Your
feelings are valid.

Today we often hear thoughts such as " Sus, arte lang yan. D naman yan totoo,
nagpapa-awa, kulang sa pansin" Everytime we try to open up to others. This is one
of the stigma that mental health challenged individuals faces on a day to day
bases. It's disheartening to witness how some individuals are antagonizing

are becoming the villain of their own story. Especially as a Filipino households
where some families are not open to mental health discussion, individuals who are
challenged are often shunned by their own family not because they do not care for
them but becuase they are unaware of the dangers that lies in mental health.

They often would pass this as a "phase" that they think we can out grow because
they themselves are not aware of this issues. Because in our culture we often
overlook issues such as mental health because most of us does not believe its true.
especially the adults or the "matatanda" for me I believe that its ignorance that
push them to criticized mentally health challenged individuals. Ignorance with the
fact that this is a huge problem, ignorance with the fact that they are not
helping. That is why we need them to hear our voices, to hear our plea, to hear
what we are going through. Because we are neve gonna break the cycle if all we do
is be shunned.

I know how hard it is to ask other for help, with the fear of being judge creeping
every moment we ask for help. Having someone to rant your worries and even a person
who simply listens to you worries can be off such great help. However there are
times where it is to awkward to aks bout mental health or to talk about this
issues. As this issues can be a bit too personal for someone. That is why if we
want to start a conversation regarding this mattter here are some ways and tips
that you can utilize:
1. Create a Judgment-Free Environment.
2. Educate Yourself
3. Listen Actively
4. Share your own personal stories
5. Let them know you care

As a freshmen in college, it is quite hard especially in adjusting to college life.

College life is far harder than senior high school and junior high school. Although
we have many vacant times it is stil quite exhausting that is why in order to cope
with this challenge we must be organized especially in our studies, our schedules
and even in disciplining ourselves. So this chapter of the scrapbook is dedicated
in doing that:

As a licean we must always keep in mind that we have policies and guidlines that we
must follow and for myself I must always remember to abide by them at all times
because this does not only promote self discipline but it also aids in my
adjustment period during my college life. Excellence, Integrity, Loyalty,
Discipline, Service this are the licean attributes that as a student we must apply
to ourselves as bases for us to achieve a successful college life in lice.

As a student we must not only abide the school laws and rules but we must also
abide the rules of our own self. We must always remember that college is not a
race, it's okay to take things slow because we have our own pace to follow. We must
make sure that our body is treated right because in this journey we only have one
body and abusing it is not okay. That is why it is okay to rest, it is not a grave
sin for you to lay and relax in your bed.

As a college student its okay not to know everything. Its okay if you have a hard
time in understanding a lesson even if your friends grasp them easily. During this
time its okay to ask for academic help. Asking for help does not signify that you
are weak or you are not smart it signifies that you are reaching our to others to
unburden yourselves. Its okay to ask a friend for help in understanding a concept
in anaphy or asking for help in explaining how to answer an assignments. All this
are okay.

As a college student we have a lot of academic responsibilities, but among all this
responsibilities. It is important to prioritize what we need in order for us to
have a organize system of doing things. This helps us to be more efficient in what
we do and it is also to avoid stress when things are bombarding.

Studying stratetiges:

Studying is often a burden to all of us, and not gonna lie it is a big burden for
me. Because I have this toxic trait of studying until morning just to feel
accomplished that I have studied. This hobbit is both exhausting physicallya nd
mentally that is why I would like to take this time to chaneg my hobbit and be more
inclined with the right methods of studying

In studying I must remember:

1. Set an appropriate time to study:
Study atleast 1 week before the exam and study atleast 2 days before a quiz. Always
keep in mind that our brain also needs its rest, we cannot over stimulate it by
studying before a day of the exam and expect to retain everything we study.
2. Sleep as much as I can:
Dear self, please do stop sleeping late, it does not do any positive things to your
body. Your digging your own grave by staying up all night just to study please let
your body rest and sleep for atleast 6 hours. That way you can give your body an
ample time to rest.
3. Use primodor techniques in studying:
This way it can help you to be more focused on your studies while still givign you
time to relax and rest in between of study sesssions.
4. Learn to go out (study outs)
There will always be a time where we feel suffocated in our room and it is okay to
relax yourself by going out and studying in an environment that eases your minds.
5. Time management
It may be cliche to always include this but time management is a great advantage in
terms of college life. As we have many vacant times we may feel at ease to
procastinate but that only leads to a negative outcome that is why we have to
manage our time and set schedules for each of our activities be it perosnal or
academic.

Entering college as a freshman marks a significant milestone, but it also brings

with it a set of unique challenges. College life, as many will attest, can be
considerably more demanding than senior high school or junior high school. While
it's true that college schedules may afford more vacant periods, the rigors of
academic and personal responsibilities can be mentally and physically taxing. In
light of these challenges, it becomes crucial to cultivate specific skills and
mindsets for a successful college journey. This chapter of the scrapbook is
dedicated to exploring and embracing these principles.

"It's okay to ask for help" This chapter of the scrapbook provides groups and
organizations here in the Philippines that are focusing on mental health awareness.
it is important and a vital step for us to learn and reach out to others because we
don't need to suffer alone we can share our thoughts for us to lighten the burden
that we carry.
Its never to bad to have a home far away from home. This is my second home the
reason why I got to adjust pretty well in college life. Individuals in my life who
i did not even know why be became friends but they are one of the things that had
the best imoact in my life. They brough out many versions of me and they are also
the one who keeps cheering me on.

Its so easy for other to brush of mental health issues since we don't see them. Its
so easy for other to say that it is not serious since they don't feel it. However,
we need to understand that mental illness is real, and it'snot something that goes
awa after a good night's sleep. As someone who has lost many friends because of
mental health issues, we need to strive to create a better and open environment for
the next generation to come. In order to foster an environment that shall promotes
mental health awareness we must first be fostering it within ourselves.

Personally I know that I have been struggle with my own problems it may not be as
promiment as others but it is still a burden that is why I would like to try my
best to apply the things that I have written in this scrapbook especially in my
personal study hobbits and mindsets. In order for me to do so is I have to be wary
first of myself because How can I advocate for others if I myself cannot understand
myself.

for me to achieve this objectives I must first asses my self, I will make it as a
hobbit to asses myself everyweek be it physically and mentally. And along with
those assessment is a solution that would be implemented immediately. Such as
relaxing and sleeping when everything seems so exhausting. Treat myself to a cold
drink of ice coffee if I will the burn of stresssed in my mind.

Dear light, Hi! how are you? Have you been doing good? Have you slept?
I am writing this letter to tell you how I am so proud of you, You've done a
terrific job living your life thus far. You have been a brave girl from the
beginning, despite all of your failures and disappointments; you have fought a war,
which I believe you have won; you have maintained your faith until the end; and,
above all, you have loved your family, which you should now be proud of. I know
that you are still afraid of being happy but I want you to believe in yourself that
you deserve to be happy as much as others deserves to be.

Don't listen to the negative thoughts of others they would only bring you down.
Focus and maintain self awareness as we strive to reach our goal. Stop comparing
yourselves with others, so what if they can ace the test without studying, so what
if they can do things you can't remember that they you can also do things they
can't.

Always remember that I youself is always with you, if you feel lost please don't
hesitate to take a step back and just relax. Don't burden yourself with you own
expectations, be proud of you achievements big or small, because I know that you've
given you all and you desevre those achievements.

Now that I think about it, it's kind of fun knowing you cry for hours and then
return to your usual self. Now I see how strong you were, how strong we are, and
how proud we should have been. For all of the difficulties and setbacks you have
encountered, I want you to know that I am proud of you for maintaining a positive
attitude and confronting your personal issues
head-on.

Life in general is full of ups and down. Its something that no one can be prepared
of and in life we can counter problems that can affect not only our physical state
but as well as our mental state. As a college student we are prone to face nonestop
activities, deadlines and exam which can lead us to stress and can cause mental
distress however it is important to always remember that our top priority is our
health. Find time to relax and take rest because it is important.

Breaking the silence and opening up about our personal thoughts and experiences may
be scary and may be challenging but it is time to be casted out the shadow its time
for our voices to be heart for all our feelings are valid. It's time we find solace
by telling the world about what we feel.
