NARRATIVE REPORT AND DOCUMENTATION

PRE-PLANNING STAGE:
Taking inspiration from one of the presidential candidates of the last National Election, 2022,
Atty. Maria Leonor “Leni” Gerona Robredo. Inspiring millions of Filipinos to take a stand on a
political dynasty, she became the “Liwanag sa Dilim” during the National Election. The group
formulated a theme that center on that concept, a lamp. Lampara is the translation of the word
Lamp, it is a symbol of life, happiness, and prosperity it also signifies a start of something new.
Only using indigenous materials for this artwork, it shows that change can start from something
mediocre to something better. During the formulation of the artwork suggestions were made.
PRODUCTION:
Centralizing on the theme “Lampara: Liwanag sa Dilim” the Group make use of indigenous
materials they can find. With the use of straws, used box, utensils, magazines, paraphernalia,
transportation tickets, and a light bulb the group created an artwork that resembles a lamp.
POST PRODUCTION:
After making this project for several hours, our artwork now embodies the essence of a
"lampara" that radiantly shines as an indomitable symbol of "Liwanag sa dilim". With
unwavering dedication and an unwavering commitment to sustainability, we have ingeniously
crafted this masterpiece using an array of recyclable materials, amplifying its significance in
every stroke and detail. The very essence of Liwanag transcends the boundaries of mere objects,
for it embodies a beacon of hope that ignites the spirits of all who behold it. Each strand of
cotton we delicately intertwined represents the profound tenderness that emanates from the core
of this luminous symbol. The two gracefully curved cardboards encapsulate the perpetual flow of
progress and development, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, growth and
enlightenment can flourish.
our artistic creation is not merely an object, but a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
It stands as a vibrant embodiment of the transformative power of "Liwanag sa dilim", that
serves as a beacon of light but also inspire hope in the hearts of people.
