The Madhya Pradesh state cabinet has given its approval to a new scheme called
‘Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana’ (Chief Minister Learn and Earn Scheme), aimed
at providing opportunities for unemployed youth in the state.
Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana,’ the government plans to offer
training in around 700 different types of work across various sectors.

These sectors include engineering, hotel management, tourism, travel, hospital

services, ITI, software development, banking, insurance, accounting, chartered
accountancy, financial services, industries, and the MSME industry.
The wide range of options allows the youth to choose fields aligned with their
interests and aptitudes.
All the youth who have done 12th pass, ITI, Diploma, Graduation and Post
Graduation will be eligible for this scheme.
After the training, the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) certificate will be
given by the Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development and Employment Generation
Board (MPSSDEGB).

The second meeting of the G-20 Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group (DRRWG) will be

building back better, and nature-based solutions.

It has advised banks to stop issuing ₹2000 denomination banknotes with immediate
effect.

The ₹2000 denomination banknote was introduced in November 2016 under Section
24(1) of RBI Act, 1934.
Primarily to meet the currency requirement of the economy in an expeditious manner
after the withdrawal of legal tender status of all ₹500 and ₹1000 banknotes in
circulation at that time.
₹2000 currency note will remain legal tender after 30th September too. RBI expects
that 4 month time is enough for people to exchange notes with the banks.
Most of the ₹2000 notes that are in circulation will return to banks within the given time
frame of 30th September.
The objective of introducing ₹2000 banknotes was met once banknotes in other
denominations became available in adequate quantities.

build an ‘India-Israel Center of Water Technology’ (CoWT) in Water Resources Management
and Water Technologies.

Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Prof V Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, and Naor Gilon, Ambassador of

The second meeting of the G-20 Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group (DRRWG)
began in Mumbai.
The meeting aims to mitigate the impact of disasters on vulnerable communities by
identifying opportunities and examining creative financing mechanisms.

private sector representatives, and stakeholders from over twenty countries.
The meeting is based on the theme of “Financing for DRR” from the first DRRWG

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has launched the ‘Shasan Aplya Dari’
(government at your doorstep) initiative with an aim to provide benefits of
government schemes at one place.

With an aim to make government schemes available at the doorstep of the common
man, the state government will now use a new portal called ‘Mahalabharthi, where all
the state schemes will be enlisted.
The objective of ‘Shasan Aplya dari’ is to take the government schemes to the
doorstep of the common people so that they can take benefits of various schemes
without any hassle.
A dedicated cell has been set up in the CM’s office for the initiative and 15,146
volunteers have been appointed for the same across the state.
