1. Carlo gets on the elevator on the twelfth floor. The elevator goes down 3 floors and stops. It then
continues to go down 5 more floors where Carlo got off. In what floor did he get off the elevator?

2. Mr. Ramos lost 3 kilograms when he was ill. After recovering, he gained 5 kilograms. He went to
a fitness center and lost 1 kilogram. How much did he finally lose or gain?

3. Andy saved P 3500.00 from his daily allowance. He spent P950.00 to buy jeans and P350.00 to
buy a shirt. How much of his money was left?

4. In a game, each team receives 2 points for each correct answer and loses 1 point for each incorrect
answer. Arman’s team answered 8 question correctly and 4 questions incorrectly. What was the
team’s final score?

5. A car is located 50 km north of Bacolod. If it travelled 40 km north then 45 km south, how far from
Bacolod was the car at the end of its travel?
