Dear Sir.

RE: COMPLAINT REGARDING THE UNRESOLVED BURNT YAKA METERS AND THE DIRECT POWER SUPPLY

My name is Hajjati Muwonge, and I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with the
unresolved issue related to the Yaka Meters at my property. I am a landlord, and each of my twelve
tenants relies on the Yaka Meters for their electricity consumption.

Last year, there was an unfortunate incident where the Yaka Meters at the pole from where I get power
malfunctioned and got burnt. In response to this, your technicians intervened to rectify the situation
leading to the decision to bypass the Yaka Meters and connect us directly to the power supply
temporarily.

While I appreciate the effort taken to ensure that my tenants have access to electricity during this period,
the situation has prolonged beyond what was initially anticipated, making me to deeply worry about the
impending electricity bills for the period during which we have been on direct power supply.

I kindly request that UMEME provides clarity on the following matters:

a) An explanation of the progress and expected timeline for fixing the yaka meters
b) An explanation on how the electricity usage during the period of direct supply will be billed and
whether the responsibility for the bills will fall on me, the landlady, considering that some tenants
have already vacated the premise.

I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a swift resolution.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Hajjati muwonge mariam
