to part company for a number of reasons. This is what is commonly referred
to as employee separation or human resource disposal.
 It is very important that this is professionally handled by the organization in
order to maintain a good reputation and avoid legal costs. It is the role of the
human resource department in this context to:
 Arrange and conduct termination interviews to ascertain the reasons behind any
resignation and to recommend to management appropriate remedies where
possible.
 Ensure that all the legal requirements are adhered to In the event of redundancy.
