Niche community

The NFT project needs to cater to its community who are likely to follow the NFT long term due
to interest in NFTs or the existing fanbase that is related to the NFT. For example, users of
NBATopshot have a large community of 32,000 members on the discord page and they are most
likely already interested in NBA before this project was launched. Many NFT platforms have
NFT communities that give people a place to interact, collaborate, and support one another
(Abdi, 2022).

NFT projects make use of social media platforms such as Discord, Reddit or Facebook to create
groups whereby the like-minded community members can interact, voice their opinion and even
conduct meetups or events outside of the platform. NFTs enable a sense of digital identity and
belonging, and they draw like-minded people who have similar values but may come from quite
different origins and places (Willis, 2022)

The community can generate ideas for the NFT platform to improve on and also sustain interests
and successful NFTs usually have the largest number of members on its NFT subreddit page.
