received 60 marbles, how many marbles were there at the start?

9. If five(5) men can finish a job in 20 days. In how many days can 15 men finish the same job?

10. A square has the same perimeter as the rectangle. The ratio between the length and the width of
the rectangle is 2:3. If one side of the square measures 15 cm, find the length of the rectangle,

are in the second year. The remaining students are third year and fourth year in the ratio 5:3. How
many students are in each of the year level?

16. Rene works as sales clerk. He is paid a salary of P3, 000.00 a week plus 2% commission on sales
over P4, 000.00. Find his gross pay for a week if his sales total P9, 500.00

17. A P300 item is marked up 20%. Then the new price is marked down 30%. Is the final price less or
more than the original price? By how much did it increase or decrease?

18. Miss Leizel Reyes borrowed P30, 000 from a bank. At the end of 6 months, she paid back P30,
750.00 What was the yearly rate of interest?

19. Mr. Darryl Jimenez bought a shirt which sells at P565 and was given a 12% discount. How much
did he pay for the shirt?

20. Marlon put P50, 000 into a savings account in January. Six months later he put P10, 000 more
into the account. The interest rate is 4% per year. How much interest will be earned at the end of
the year?
