Reflection paper on the Application of Statistics in Research

In the Overview of Biostatistics of Bandit Thinkhamrop Ph.D., He discusses how statistics apply in
research. There are plenty of processes and thorough analysis that further discusses various ways of
application of statistics in research. It is not just about determining the numbers. He also pointed out
that it is crucial to pinpoint the biased opinions of others. It should be aligned and distinctive. In doing
research that needed an outcome, there are a lot of details that should be taken into consideration. As
such, it is foremost that the research is concise and precise. Furthermore, I think that statistics have a
huge role in a research paper. Statistics in research is vital because it determined the numerical value of
the outcome of the research. It gives a notion of what is needed to be done, and the research results.
Statistics gives value to a research study because it signifies numbers and gives a certain understanding
and solution to the problem written in the paper.

As stated, firstly, a researcher shall determine its conclusion, whether is it timely, whether is it needed
in society, etc... Furthermore, after studying the conclusion researchers should study the primary
research question. In understanding or determining the research question, it should be precise and it
shouldn't be answerable by yes or no. As much as possible make it a type of question that can be
determined by utilizing values. Thus, he also stated that before concluding an outcome researchers must
study and comprehend the said outcome, If it is a continuous, numerical basis, or if it is needed to
respond, etc... Also, a research paper should have a study design, the type of research design needed to
fulfill the said study, and the research question are considered. Lastly, regarding the statistics that apply
to the research I think that it is indeed a thorough analysis and enough comprehensive to utilize the
numerical outcome of the study.
