1. Qisas;
Besically Qisas is a punishment of same as done by accused such
as death for death and hurt for hurt .
2. Diyat;
Diyat is a compensation given by the accused to the legal heirs or
the victim it may be in the form of wealth , silver , gold.
3. Arsh;
Arsh is a punishment for just hurt and it is a type of compensation
as well but it depends on diyat because it shall be comprises
according to one half of diyat.
4. Daman;
It is also a compensation for hurt which comprises small injury
and is decided by court according to wounds.
5. Tazir.
Besically Tazir is a type of punishment which is awarded by court
to accused in the form of imprisonment and fine according to offence.
6. Death sentence
Death sentence means punishment as death to accused to do
serious crime according to Law such as hijacking waging war against
county or murder someone.
8. Imprisonment.
Simple imprisonment is an imprisonment awarded by court to
accused to acted crime it shall not imprisonment for life
9. Forfeiture of property;
Forfeiture of property is also a type of punishment according to
ppc awarded by court when his property used for criminal activity
or for lawfull assembly.
10. Fine.
According to ppc fine is a type of punishment which accused
shall be instructed to pay fine .
Provided that such right shall not without the consent of the victim or,
as the case may be. of the heirs of the victim, be exercised for any
sentence awarded under Chapter XVI],
Section 55-A and proviso ins. by A.O., 1937.
Illustration
A is sentenced to fine of one hundred rupees and to four months,
imprisonment in default of payment. Here, seventy-five rupees of the
fine be paid or levied before the expiration of one month of the
imprisonment. A will be discharged as soon as the first month has
expired, if seventy-five rupees be paid or levied at the time of the
expiration of the first month, or at any later time while .A continues
imprisonment. A will be immediately discharged, if fifty rupees of the
fine be paid or levied before the expiration of two months of the
imprisonment, A will be discharged as soon as the two months are
completed, if fifty rupees be paid or levied at the time of the expiration
of those two months, or at any later time while A continues in
imprisonment, A will be immediately discharged.
Where several acts, of which one or more than one would by itself or
themselves constitute an offence, constitute, when combined, a
different offence, the offender shall not be punished with a more
severe punishment than the Court which tries him could award for
any one of such offence.
Illustrations
(a) A gives Z fifty strokes with a stick. Here A may have committed
the offence of voluntarily causing hurt to Z by the whole beating, and
also by each of the blows which makes up the whole beating. If were
liable to punishment for every blow, they might be imprisoned for fifty
years, one for each blow. But he is liable only to one punishment for
the whole beating.
