Let's Make Invitations!

"

Hey kids! Do you want to have fun today

and be creative? Why don't we make
invitation cards together?

In this fun activity, we'll learn how to make invitation cards.

These are special cards we send to our friends to invite them to
parties or events. Let's get started!

TARGETS

In this activity, you will learn to:

1. Understand why invitation cards are important.

2. Get all the things we need to make invitation cards.

3. Follow simple steps to make our own invitation cards.

GETTING READY: THINGS WE NEED

Before we start making our invitation cards, let's gather everything we need. Here's what we'll
use:

1. Thick paper or cardstock (like the paper in your coloring

books)
2. Markers or crayons (to make our designs colorful)

3. Ruler (to help us draw straight lines)

4. Scissors (to cut our cards)

5. Glue or tape (to stick things together)

6. Stickers or decorations (to make our cards extra pretty)

7. Envelopes (if you have them)

LET'S DO IT

Now that we have everything, let's make our invitation cards together. Follow these easy steps:

Think about the party or event you want to invite your

friends to. Do you want it to be a superhero party, a princess
party, or something else? Choose a fun idea for your
invitation!
Using your paper and markers or crayons, draw the shape of
your invitation card. You can make it any size you want! Use
your ruler to help you draw straight lines if you need to.

Write down important information about your party on your

card. This includes the date, time, place, and anything
special your friends need to know. You can use big letters so
it's easy to read.

Now it's time to make your card look pretty! Add

decorations like stickers, drawings, or anything else you like.
Make it colorful and fun!

Carefully cut out your invitation card along the lines you
drew. Then, fold it in half so it looks like a real card. Ask an
adult for help if you need it!

Put it in an envelope if you have one.

"Great job! Your invitation card is
ready! Now, add a personal touch by
including a heartfelt message or a fun
note to make your friend feel truly
special. Then, hand it over to your
friend with a smile, conveying your
excitement about having them join in
on the upcoming event."

HOW WELL HAVE YOU DONE?

1. Did you write when and where the party is?

2. Did you use lots of colors and draw fun pictures?

3. Is the writing easy to read?

4. Does your card show what the party is for, like a birthday or holiday?

"Great job on your invitation card! You did fantastic work

today. Keep up the creativity!"
