Introduction
The Polya’s Problem Solving method is a four-step method that may be used to handle
any kind of issue: understand the problem, make a plan, execute the plan and look back
and reflect. Students can choose a technique to employ with the Polya’s Problem Solving
Method to determine what problem is being asked, what information is needed, and how
to approach the problem in computing. Additionally, it asks students to consider how they
will approach the topic based on their comprehension. As a result, this technique clarifies
how Polya's method functions in mathematical reading texts. It has become a standard
method for issue solving due to the method's simplicity and good generalizability. In
reality, the technique isn't limited to arithmetic; it can be used to solve difficulties in all
aspects of our lives. Each steps and ideas shows how the method can be used to solve
a problem.

Statement of the problem

It is crucial to have extensive background knowledge about the student's knowledge base
in order to appropriately understand the problem-solving behaviors of someone who has
engaged in a mathematical problem-solving episode. In addition, the type of
understanding that a student assimilates in order to solve a given mathematical problem
is important in order to comprehend the problem statement. Use of poor instructional
methods to teach mathematics affects a student’s performance.
Implication
Understanding the problem allows people to know what is being asked and what kind of
response is needed, which is how the Polya technique helps people solve problems.
Setting up an equation, creating a diagram, and creating a chart are all methods you can
use to approach addressing your problem. Making a plan for how to solve the problem is
necessary for us to know what to do. When putting the plan into practice after developing
a plan or strategy to address the issue, you might wish to use the available resources if
you run into problems applying the approach. Look back and reflect; verify the solution,
preferably by employing a different strategy than the one you used to solve the issue; and
assess the strategy you employed. Math can help us budget our money, and calculate
how much time we need to complete a task. Making use of arithmetic may simplify and
improve the efficiency of our daily life. Math can also assist in fostering critical thinking
abilities that can be used in various facets of our lives

Conclusion
Overall, the Polya’s four-step method in problem solving can be applied both in math and
real life, applying the steps helps in comprehending every situation or problem. Although
the process appears to be a simple one in which you begin at Step 1 and proceed through
phases 2, 3, and 4, in practice you will frequently need to repeat the four phases until you
have resolved and considered a problem.
