Simplifying Radicals Guide

1. Simplify radicals by extracting common factors from the radicand and reducing indexes that are greater than the exponent of the radicand. 2. Fractional radicands should be converted to radical form by dividing the radicand and index. 3. Radicals cannot have denominators, so expressions with radicals in the denominator must be converted to have radicals only in the numerator.
