Final Result: Drawing App with a calculator.

Audience: Everyone/ Anyone.

Purpose of app: My app “Artfila” is a drawing app that allows anyone of any age to draw on
a black white canvas with whatever colour they like. In addition, my canvas page also contains a
clear button to clear the canvas and also an erase button to erase any errors and also two
calculator pages for simple calculations. The app also contains a login page as will as an option
to use a guest login if they do not want to create a proper login. The app has many uses; an
artist can use it for digital artwork, a student can use it for school/university notes and quick
calculation and reminders, and any adult can use it to jot down quick stuff or make some digital
artwork or design something. It is very much like many of the existing drawing and noting apps
that exist today but is a much more toned down and simpler version of them but also with a
calculator.

What it will look like:

- Screen 1: Home Screen; the home screen of the app with the name of the app, logo,
and login options.
- Labels (title)
- Buttons (to navigate to the different screens)
- Image (logo)
- Rows and columns
- Screen 2: Drawing Screen; the main component of the app, allowing the user to draw,
erase and create whatever artwork they want.
- Text input (to name artwork or document)
- Image (logo)
- Rows and columns
- Canvas (main drawing page)
- Buttons (for different colours and clear and erase buttons)
- If and then blocks (relating to buttons)
- Screen 3: Login Screen; the screen that allows the user to be able to login into the app if

App Formation: My app “Artfila” was made to be a drawing app since the very beginning. I
planned it to be a very simple drawing app with only a few functions but slowly my app grew to
be more complex with also a small calculator so that people could also do small and basic
calculations, similar to some of the real-time apps that are available in our phones. The purpose
of this change was mainly as I thought it would be really cool to have a calculator in an art app
as often, if the art app is being used for calculations or notes or mathematical working out, then
if needed, the calculator can be a very helpful and useful tool. I related to this a lot and it was
mainly influenced by my ideas as often if I am working out answers or calculations on an online
platform such as notes or other drawing and jotting apps, then I often need a calculator which
these apps do not offer, so aI made my app include it. I also later realized that for our learning
task to be complete, we need some sort of calculator or calculations and my calculator pages
perfectly helped me fit this criteria.

My app has quite a few pros and cons. The pros of my app “Artfila” are how easy to use my app
is, how it includes a calculator along in the app for easier access and how clear and concise my
app is. The cons of my app are that it does not have a full formed sign in, neither does it have a
full formed calculator like the ones that we see on calculator apps nowadays.

In the future, I would really like to expand this app to add voice recorders, saving options and a
page where all of the artwork pages can be stored. Although already learnt, I would need some
form of database for this kind of application. I would also like to make a proper sign in page that
required you to have an actual account and where you can input your email address and sign
up, which I really wanted to but wasn’t able to add as it would be a very complicated and
complex process. I would also like to make all of the calculator in on page and make it like some
of the calculators we see on our phones with everything in one place, if not even better. I would
also like to add a component in my app that would allow you to pick whichever colour you want
to use, like from a colour wheel which my app unfortunately doesn’t have as this would allow my
users to be very versatile and free with their artwork.
