 Procedure to Create Mark Sheet

1. Open Microsoft Excel.

2. Select first two rows up to column J and merge them from “Merge & Center” option
on “Home” tab. Then, add school name on that big cell.
3. Repeat same procedure on second and third row, and add address of school.
4. Select and merge the fifth row till column J using above mentioned method and add
text “Student Marksheet For Class 11”.
5. Merge row 6 and 7 of column A and text “Roll no.” Do the same for row 6 and 7 of
column B and add text “Name of Student”.
6. Merge 6th row of column C to column H and add text “Subject Marks”.
7. Add the name of subjects in each cell of 7th row of column C to H.
8. Merge row 6 and 7 of column I and text “Total” Do the same for row 6 and 7 of
column J and add text “Percentage”.
9. Fill all the data in the respective titles.
10.To calculate total received marks of a student, select column C to Column I and then
click on “AutoSum” function in “Home” tab. This function automatically adds all the
numbers in selected cells.
11.To make this adding process simpler, Microsoft excel has some features. One of them
is to copy formula. Click on the cell where we used “AutoSum” function in column I.
Move cursor to the right bottom corner of the cell, icon of cursor will change then hold
left click button on mouse and drag till the list of students goes on down the column.
This will automatically add all of students marks and give result in total column.
12.To calculate percentage, use the given formula i.e. =(I8/300)*100 in percentage
column. Here, I8 indicates value of I column and 8 row and 300 is total full marks
value for my case.
13.Once again, we repeat step no. 11, instead of cell where we used “AutoSum” function,
we select J8 cell and follow above mentioned method to drag and copy formula.

Following above mentioned steps will help to make a simple format of mark sheet.
