Mr. Arnold U. Parcon witnessed a terrorist attack in Banaybanay, Davao Oriental in 2008 when Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was president. Around 200 terrorists attacked the municipal hall to protest rising rice prices. They assaulted the police, taking their weapons and uniforms. One policeman fought back while the mayor evacuated. 1. What certain historical events did you witnessed in your locality?


Answer: Terrorist attacked in Banaybanay.

2. When did the certain historical events happened?


Answer: At the year 2008, Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s time.

3. Where did the certain historical events happened?


Answer: At the Municipal of Banaybanay.

4. Can you please describe that certain event?


Answer: It all started when people was protested about the administration of
Arroyo. They had MRF fellowship at that time at exactly 8 am. The objective of
their protest was to lower the price of the rice. The event was so shocking
because the people who had protested was the terrorist (NPA) and they
assaulted the police. They took heavy weapons like guns and uniforms. Only one
policeman who fought against the terrorists. The Former Municipal Mayor Pedro
Mejos evacuated quickly because he was one of the prospect of that attacked.
The people was shocked and panicked. After that, they abandoned the place and
back to their place. Then, they replaced the Philippine flag with their flag in
municipal which means the sign of their victory.

5. How did you feel when such a disaster happened?


Answer: I was so shocked when that happened especially since, it was my first
time saw such a disaster.

6. How many terrorist attacked?


Answer: Almost 200.

7. How many people were injured and killed in the certain event?
Answer: 1 terrorist was killed and 1 policeman was injured.

8. How much was the total damage of that attacked?


Answer: Almost 1 million.
