morning to write my review of this book, it quickly got so unwieldy that I decided to just spin it off
into a standalone essay for the general public at my blog. These schools are being shut down due to
the fact there is very little knowledge as to how important these schools are to the Deaf
communities. Edward Miner Gallaudet believed that the use of sign language was appropriate while
dealing with the deaf. In the outcome of the preceding election, in September 2005, Jordan
announced his resignation from office and supported Jane Fernandez’s candidacy. ASL isn’t a
written form of language and cannot be written into English. At this conference, a declaration was
made that deaf schools were barred from using sign language. The other demand was the
