Making Instruction to Operate Function Generator

A generator is an electronic device used to produce various types of periodic signal

waveforms in a frequency range. The signal produces a voltage, usually a sine wave or other
waveform. This wave can be repeated or one time, there needs to be a trigger source, and it
can be external or internal.
Characteristics of function generators:
1. Can produce any waveform.
2. Can produce a wide frequency range.
3. Can be phase-locked to an external signal source, which can be a frequency
reference or other function generator.
How to Use a Function Generator To use a function generator in connection with an
oscilloscope:

 First, connect the generator function to the oscilloscope using a coupling cable.
 Set the generator function using sine, triangle, or square, -set all the amplitude
frequencies in each part, don't forget to set the frequency using how many Hz.
 Connect the output leads to an oscilloscope to visualize the output signal and set its
parameters using the amplitude and frequency controls.
 Attach the output leads of the function generator to the input of the circuit you wish
to test.
 Attach the output of your circuit to a meter or oscilloscope to visualize the resulting
change in signal.

A function generator, which is used for testing the response of circuits to commonplace
input signals, produces various voltage patterns at different frequencies and amplitudes. You
connect the function generator’s electrical leads to the ground and the signal input
terminals to the device under test (DUT).
