SMALL GROUP IS ONE OF CAMACOPS DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAMS TO TRAIN, EQUIP, AND MULTIPLY FAITHFUL

LEADERS IN LOCAL CHURCHES. AND IN THE CONTEXT OF CAMACOP, we use all sorts of names for small
groups, like life groups, growth groups, home groups, cottage prayer groups, care groups, etc.—but as
CAMACOP, regardless of the size, structure, and strategies applied, we are comfortable calling it an AXILIARY
GROUP.
After all the countless promotion of SG in SMD, finally, by God's leading and wisdom, we discovered that the most
effective strategy and program that fits SMD context, dynamics, and culture of discipleship is through auxiliary
groups.

In SMD context, Auxiliary groups exist as a way for us to engage in biblical community that helps us become
more like Jesus in every area of our lives. We empower our auxiliary group leaders and officers through
monthly SG training, mentoring, and monitoring to ensure the discipleship program of CAMACOP is used
purposefully.
Strategically, the SG team has created a clear direction for all Auxiliary groups (AMP, AWP, AYP, and Kids) to
follow as an SMD SG VERSION called AUXILIARY SMALL GROUP-“DOING LIFE TOGETHER”:

This is our SG ROADMAP on how we encourage our pastors and churches to do discipleship/SG in our context
And will serve as a guide to clearly see and assess our progress in promoting SG in SMD District.
SMD STRATEGY:

1. Gathered Data from circuit pastors on how they do discipleship in their churches with survey
questions.
2. Identify Churches/Circuits/Auxiliaries that are effectively doing SG in the District and partner with them
and then use their system/methodology as MODEL to train and mentor other churches who are still
having hard time in implementing the DE program.
3. SG team conducted SG trainings, workshops and mentoring with MODEL churches, circuits, and
Auxiliary in CAMP MARIANO, CIRCUIT PASTORS MEETING, AND in LOCAL CHURCHES WITH THE CMT
and auxiliary groups.
4. The SG team simplified the DE materials in the context of SMD of which it has significant results, first
with SMD pastor (SMALL GROUP of pastors) then to their church members and Auxiliary groups.
5. The SG team has appointed 8 circuit SMALL GROUP coordinators in 8 circuits to mentor and monitor
pastors and churches in SG ministries for sustainable Discipleship program.
6. The Team has created guidelines and core values to give a clear direction to the SG program with our
circuit pastors and church leaders.
7. A Group Chat for all pastors and church members to receive a daily Devotional Lesson from Circuit SG
coordinators/Pastors to supplement the Learners Essentials Series of lessons.

"We grow larger through worship, smaller

through Auxiliary fellowships, and deeper
through discipleship. And in
Small group meeting is where we do life
together and build a community of
Christlike followers."
