As you know, I am currently a law clerk student at Algonquin College, based in Ottawa.

Before that, I was a Personal Support Worker and before that, I was an Educational
Assistant.

I loved my job as a Personal Support Worker, but unfortunately, I decided it was time to
move on. It was emotionally challenging, but I did learn some valuable skills. Attention
to detail, adaptability, and confidentiality. These skills are invaluable in my legal studies,
particularly in Civil Litigation classes, where precision and the ability to adjust to
evolving legal scenarios are so important

My previous job as an Educational Assistant has a similar story. I did learn different skills
from that job, such as organization , managing student files and coordinating meetings
with colleagues, students, and their families. This experience has reinforced my ability to
navigate complex systems and maintain clear, effective communication.

Outside of my professional and academic life, my time is devoted to my dog, Chopper,

who is not just a pet but a part of my family. Caring for Chopper, especially through her
health challenges and surgeries, has taught me patience, reinforced my scheduling and
time-management skills, and demonstrated my capacity to balance demanding
responsibilities. These personal experiences have imbued me with resilience and a
proactive approach to problem-solving. I believe these skill are what will help me
succeed in a career as a Corporate Law Clerk.
