A matter of survival

Education is not just merely about imparting knowledge or just an institution;

it is one of the foundations of survival. Education I believe, is the stepping stone for

every individual to help society build its future. It is the token of a better world and

life. It will be your rock, your foundation upon which building your dreams and your

future.

“Por la Education Recibe Lustre la Patria”a quote from Ateneo translated as

“Through Education our motherland receives light”. They emphasize that education

is important in uplifting and advancing a society; that is why it is also important to

know that education is a matter of survival because in this way we can do a lot for

our society. Through prioritizing and surviving our Education, we can help build a

good and dynamic nation. It says here that education is an integral part of the

national character which also proves that education is crucial for our national identity

and progress, making it a matter of survival. As a future educator, I should broaden

my perspective, that becoming a teacher is not only an educator but an agent of

change or a guardian of future generations. Education is a must and needs to

survive because it addresses societal issues and challenges prejudices, and this

can create a world where everyone is free to have an opportunity to thrive for their

good and to contribute to the common good. Education is a foundation of

empowerment. Through this, every individual gain knowledge, skills, and confidence

to transform their lives and others. Being educated isn’t just an option. Education is
a tool that we should equip to better understand the world. However, we should

remember Dr. Jose Rizal's words from his poem "Alianza intima la religion y la

education" where he emphasized that "Education without God is not true education."

If we want to survive the challenges of education successfully, we must not only

acquire knowledge from institutions but also seek wisdom from God. His guidance

can lead us through hardships, enabling us to excel and help those in need. True

learning does not always require only from the institution, learning is everywhere, it

never stops, and we should be on the right track to better understand what we

should learn. When we ask God for help, it makes our faith stronger and keeps us

on the right track. It's important to pause for a while and reflect to think about our

relationship with God. Forgetting about this spiritual side of life takes away from

what education is really about. We should also understand that religion is important

in education. There's a saying that talks about how mercy comes from God, but our

actions are our own. This reminds us that both prayer and action are important for

doing well in school. Being true and seeking God starts a good relationship in

everyone and in everything we do. Education and learning must be fun, embrace it,

nurture it, and let it guide you toward the heights of success and fulfillment.
