INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY

Background of the Study

The computerized enrollment system is the method of school transaction that can work
easier and better way how to implement a new level of enrollment process. Enrollment system
can lessen the time for processing time of transaction because it is quick and automated.
Technology was the great function of modernity for different application to make work easier,
more capable and more adaptable for the students. Nowadays computer serves as an important
role in our society most especially in school premise. Most of school uses computer to help their
student deal in our modern technology. (Dioso, 2018)

The Tigbauan National High School is a place where students learn and grow as an
individual. Before entering a school, every student must go through the process of enrollment.
Tigbauan National High School is one of those who practice manual enrollment. Their
enrollment system is basically like most other schools where as it is done manually and human
labor is essential. Our group came to an agreement of making a enrollment process for the school
which is the computerized enrollment system. It is about creating a system that would ease the
specific trouble and problems encountered by a certain school which normally is the ones that
requires enhancement in the field of technology. As a result, it will benefit not only the student
but the administration as a whole. Registrar Department also used manual system as a way of
recording and retrieving student information. The purpose of the computerized enrollment
system is to provide the students with quality services in processing enrollment. This project
aims to provide good and organize the process of enrollment to the students by computerizing the
whole function. The system also provides features to manage the information of students, staff,
and creates a schedule for subjects, and also generates reports from enrollment details.
 The Computerized Enrollment System was created to avoid information redundancy and
to compile all of the information the school had without using and storing a lot of paper. With
this system, the administrator can track, store, operate, and distribute information from gathered
data to the appropriate person as needed. The researchers discovered the simplest way to monitor
the enrollment process and the student's records by proposing the computerized enrollment
system of Tigbauan National High School. The researchers' goal is to innovate the enrollment
processing system. As well as accurately organizing the student's information records. It was
created and developed for the institution's most recent enrollment process. The system is a
computer-based system with the functions of registering and enrolling students who wish to
study at the mentioned institution. The solution addresses the issues that the institution
encountered while using a manual system, such as human errors in filling out registration forms,
unsecured storage of student records, and time consuming. The solution for the development and
improvement of the enrollment process will benefit the Tigbauan National High School because
it was created with new generation technology and will reduce the school's time in the
enrollment process.
