HABITUAL ACTIONS
(Part 1 – I/you/we/they)
Habitual actions are called Simple Present Tense in English, and are usually followed by adverb of
frequency: always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, never,etc.
AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES
We simply use VERB 1 for the four subjects (I, you, we, they)
- I sleep every 10 pm every night - We go to the beach every weekend
- You read novel every day - They play football every afternoon
NEGATIVE SENTENCES
We use DON’T to make negatives sentences for the four subjects (I, you, we, they)
- I don’t sleep every 10 pm every night - We don’t go to the beach every weekend
- You don’t read novel every day - They don’t play football every afternoon
INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE
For questions, we simply add DO at the beginning for the four subjects (I, you, we, they)
- Do I sleep every 10 pm every night? - Do we go to the beach every weekend?
- Do you read novel every day? - Do they play football every afternoon?
