AFRO-FUSION 1.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

THE BACKGROUND

As February 14th draws nearer, people make plans and settle on romantic getaways
with their significant others. The date is also about those who wish to celebrate the
notion of love; the concept of love; the ideals behind love; brotherhood; sisterhood;
humanhood.

Nothing makes the task of creating memorability for such an occasion easier and
smoother than having some professional body take that burden off your shoulders,
organize something spectacular, and all you just have to do is plug in.

In the city of Abuja, the organizers of the Christmas Day Bush Doings Camping
Get-Together, are to set up another event for the lovers and the lovers of love in
Abuja. The event is purposed towards fun, counselling, social help, and skill
development activities, but most of all, the ambience will be driven to emphasize
the values of celebrating Valentine’s Day.

The event, Afro-Fusion 1.0, will be an ecotourist, earthed, and connecting adventure
for all who attend.

THE STRATEGY

THE OVERALL OBJECTIVES

● To bring together youth to celebrate the essence of the Valentine’s Day

● To create social help activities centered around bettering mental health for
abuse victims
● To create new and more refined (upskilled and reskilled) artisans and
entrepreneurs through fun-learning
● To enable a much needed getaway ambience for as many who are usually
caught in the daily hustle and bustle of work in Abuja
● To establish needed connection between attendees, and create avenues for
creation of multi-lateral human networks

THE NUMBERS

There are an estimated 1 million persons in Abuja who can be called youth (18-40).
With some realistic estimation, we can find over 200,000 pairings within that number.

Working with absolutes and realities in mind, Afro-Fusion 1.0 targets just 0.5% of that
number, which amounts to 1000 persons for the debut event.
THE THEME

Afro-Fusion 1.0 is driven towards ideals that promote positive human feelings, positive
human action, better health – mentally and otherwise – and as well,
interconnectivity. With the substrate of having fun and “chilling out”, and as well,
given the fact that genuine love must be shown in the world, and not just romantic
love, Afro-fusion 1.0 blends all these target ideals to create the vision of, “LOVE FOR
ALL; ALL FOR YOU”.

“Love for all, all for you” is a statement to the fact that the love is shared by
everyone, and the best expression of love is through sacrifice (“all for you”). The
sacrifice and the essence of the love is exemplified in all the activities for Afro-Fusion
1.0

THE SUBTHEMES

The sub-themes that form as a merger of the vision behind the theme and the goals
of the individual activities (the pulses of the activities) are:

● Loving Through Healing Lips – Emphasis on Counseling

● Loving Through Singing Lips – Emphasis on all the music sessions
● Loving Through Cheering Lips – Emphasis on the Games (Treasure Hunt)
● Loving Through Warm Bodies – Emphasis on the Valentine’s Essence
● Loving Through Gifted Hands – Emphasis on the Skills Acquisition
● Loving Through Flora and Fauna – Emphasis on the Camping and Event
Venues
● Loving Through Helping Hands – Emphasis on the collaborative nature of the
entire event
