In this project, I got the opportunity to gain an understanding of how a monthly payment might

be separated into different adult expenses. With that money, I was able to afford an apartment,
car, groceries, and long-term savings. This research project helped me understand the various
elements of making educated financial choices. For example, desires, decisions, scarcity, and
opportunity cost. Controlling my wants helped me decide whether or not to purchase equal but
less expensive things, for example.I have all I need to live alone and be stable. My monthly
salary is $21,890, and after all of the expenses, I still had approximately $750 to put away in
savings. Opportunity costs and sacrifices had the greatest impact. Although I had a nice monthly
paycheck, I wanted to have money left over for savings and emergencies. I had to choose low
rent over an apartment with acceptable services and more living space. When I began looking for
auto insurance, I couldn't find any assistance at the roadside or car rental alternatives. Because it
would increase the monthly insurance cost. Making me have less monthly money So my
choices were based on my priorities, however I ended up being choices that were within my
budget. This monthly pay is still sufficient to cover basic living expenses in Houston, Texas. But
I would change how much money I set aside for long- and short-term savings. I would go for a
newer automobile with fewer miles. Finally, hard decisions were made throughout this
procedure, but they had to stay within my budget.
