Miniature Cervical
Dilation + Delivery of
Baby & Placenta

NOTE : (Pls exclude the balloon and the white shower cap)

MATERIALS : Box, pair of scissors, cloth
preferably red, plastic tubing, baby doll, thread & SALLY J. EDZA, RN, RM, MAN

 Materials: PROCEDURE:
 Baby Doll  Cut the red cloth into a
 Plastic tubing circle pattern
 Red cloth (old  Sew it using a basting
santa claus hat) type of stitch to form
 Thread & needle like a shower cap
 Pair of scissors
Cut plastic tubing to represent as a cord, and
Sew/attach the first end at the center of the
finish product of red cloth (shower cap style)
Attach other end of the tubing to the abdomen of
the doll
Now, you are ready to make a miniature vaginal
canal with cervix
Open the front portion of the box

At the top portion of the box cut
½ - 1 cm slit crosswise for the
cardboard/cartoon of your DIY
cervical dilation to be inserted
Now you are ready to insert your DIY cervical
dilation in the box

 How To Practice Delivery Of The Head
A. Twisting the head to align the shoulder horizontally to the vaginal
opening, then pulling downward the head to deliver the anterior
shoulder;
B. pulling head upward to delivery the posterior shoulder;
C. then pulling back the head again downward and upward to
loosen more the shoulder(anterior & posterior shoulder) to pass
through the vaginal canal;
D. positioning the head back to downward direction aligned with
mother’s body to deliver the lower extremities and;
E. delivery of the baby
