Detection Principle
The pet preform is part of the production of the bottle, which is mainly processed by injection
molding. It has the following characteristics :
1. The transparency is as high as more than 90%, the surface gloss is excellent, and it has a
glass-like appearance.
2. Superior fragrance retention and good air tightness.
3. Excellent chemical resistance, it can resist almost all organic drugs led by acid.
4. No poisonous gas produced when burning.
5. Excellent strength properties, through biaxial stretching, various properties can be further
improved.

Compared with other materials, pet has more obvious advantages and can play a role in the
production of bottles such as reagents, medical insurance and beverages. The PET bottle
preform defect detection machine produced by our company can effectively detect the black
spots, bubbles, impurities, overlaps, and material shortage of bottle preforms, improve the quality
of products, and ensure the interests of consumers.
Equipment Overviews
The overall equipment integrates mechanical mechanism, visual optical hardware and detection
system software, defective product rejection and counting device. The normal detection speed is
70 pieces/min. The front end of the preform detection machine is directly connected to the
conveyor line of the injection molding machine (The height of the conveyor line is adjustable from
960mm to 1380mm),to ensure that the products enter the inspection station in order, the
equipment can be operated 7*24 hours a day, greatly improving the production efficiency.

The overall detection equipment is equipped with 10 sets of high-pixel industrial cameras to
comprehensively detect the appearance defects of the outer side of the bottle preform, the
opening of the preform and the bottom of the preform. After the system collects the sample
image, the image processing software is compared with the standardized sample to determine
the good product and the bad product. Good products are detected and defective products are
automatically removed online, and the counting function can be realized after the finished
product is detected, and the counting accuracy is 100%. The software will open the sample
comparison standard, and the production personnel at the customer site can control the
comparison accuracy and select the most suitable accuracy standard for their own production
conditions, thereby controlling the defect rate.

Four double stations are used around the bottle preform: because the product is made of PET
material, the four cameras are divided into two stations, each station is equipped with two
cameras and two sets of backlight sources to complete the detection of the outer side of the
bottle preform. The content contains black spots, air bubbles, stains, and oil stains with color
difference.Four cameras are used for the preform opening: four detection stations for the preform
opening, respectively, to detect the preform opening, and the detection content includes the lack
of material, burrs, overlaps, stains and black spots in the preform opening.The detection of the
preform support ring adopts a camera to detect the lack of material of the support ring.The
detection of the bottom of the bottle preform uses a camera to detect the black spots and holes
at the bottom of the preform.
