Template for Project Report

The total number of pages in the report should not be more than 10 A4 pages, including all.

Sections in the Write-up

• Title Page
• Table of Contents
• Abstract [What you're proposing to do] An overview of what you have done in your
project.
• Introduction
• Research
• Objective(s)
• Need Statement – mission statement
• Concept(s) – As many as possible.
• Concept Evaluation and Selection
• Detail Design (Detail Dimensioning, Cost and Time Analysis)
• Prototype (Physical or Virtual) – must include the photographs of the prototype at
various stages of fabrication along with the complete product
• Results A description of the results of the design (or modeling) activities you [expect
to] obtain.
• Concluding Remarks – Please comment on the advantages and disadvantages of the
approach, unexpected aspects of the project, future work, etc.
• Appendices (optional) - This is a good place to provide supplemental information
that would otherwise break the flow of the reading of the project write-ups. It could
also include copies of research papers that may be informative to the reader.

Try to include as many figures (and as many tables, if there) as possible.

Remember, a picture is equivalent to a thousand words.
