Holiday destination
One of the most amazing places that I dream to visit is Venice in Italy. It’s
a truly fantastic destination with magnificent architecture. One of the most
beautiful and impressive cities in the world.
I am impatient to use those romantic gondolas and explore the different
corners of this beautiful city which is full of canals. The most famous and busiest
canal in Venice is Canal Grande. The wide canal snakes through the city. It’s such
a beautiful sight, watching the gondoliers manoeuvring their gondolas through the
shallow canals with the old buildings towering over them.
The architecture of the buildings is eye catching. The style is a mix between
Gothic, Byzantine and Moorish architecture which shows a graceful structure with
beautifully decorated window arches and intricate details.
On the other hand I would like to visit the great attractions like The Saint
Mark Basilica and Saint Mark Square. I would love to see the entire city from top
of the beautiful tower, Saint Mark’s Campanile. It would be really fun to watch the
entire city floating in the Mediterranean Sea.
Finally, I would love to eat Italian food especially, pizzas and pastas. And
that’s another thing which I can relate to when I think of Venice. I want to take a
trip down to the Venetian market and explore the local cuisine of Venice. Also as
the city is full of water, I can get a chance to try a variety of seafood. I would
also like to try Venice specialty, “Sarde in saor”.
Venice is definitely a place worth visiting and one of the dreams of my life.
