To Whom it May Concern,

I had the pleasure of serving as Amber Thomas' professor for ELEO 320-350 Teaching Diverse Learners at
Salisbury University in the Spring of 2023. Throughout this class, students are expected to collect data
on a student with special needs during their field placement. They analyze the data, develop a goal for
the student, work with the student using a product that they created, and collect data to determine if
the student has mastered the goal that they set. In addition, students are expected to interview the
students' parents. As a culminating product, they compare the information that they gathered to
current research and reflect on their experiences in a final paper. This was a very challenging class, and
Ms. Thomas was an exceptional student.

Not only did Ms. Thomas demonstrate strong academic skills, but she also proved to be an exceptional
colleague to her fellow students in the class. During group work activities, she always worked
collaboratively with others. She was able to give and receive constructive criticism in a positive manner.
Her passion for working with students was evident as she worked with myself and her classmates to
brainstorm ways to develop creative lessons and better help children. Most importantly, Ms. Thomas is
creative, flexible, and innovative, which was demonstrated through her ability to create materials of
instruction, differentiate activities, and work collaboratively with others to solve problems.

I highly recommend Ms. Thomas for an Elementary teaching position. Her positive nature, creativity,
and ability to work with others makes her an exceptional candidate.

Thank you so much for your consideration of Ms. Thomas. If I can be of assistance in any way, please
feel free to contact me at the number or email address below.

Sincerely,

Holly Hatton, Ed.D., NBCT
