Character Profiles

Darnell Jasons:
Age: 21
Background: Darnell Jasons grew up in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. He was always very
intelligent from a young age and showed interest in many academic subjects such as maths and
science. However, Darnell always had a rather bad temper and at the age of thirteen, Darnell
ended up shouting at another student after he had accidentally pushed Darnell to the ground
after running into him. This started a fight between the two boys, in which Darnell got furious
and gave the other boy a nose bleed which made Darnell feel very excited. So, he hit the boy
again and knocked him unconscious; this gave Darnell an strong hit of adrenalin which obsessed
him completely. And so, young Darnell knew that hurting/killing things would give him the same
rush as before; so he started killing cats, dogs and small birds with a baseball bat, waiting
around in the woods for one to come bounding through and then run off into a nearby field to
escape. Darnell was never diagnosed, however these crimes he committed without a shred of
empathy and then successfully lied and kept the secret from his mother proves that Darnell Jasons
is a psychopath and has been for years. Over the years, his psychopathic tendencies and urges
caused for the addiction to adrenaline, the thing that drove him to start killing, to start to evolve
into an addiction to killing and lead to serial murder by the time he was twenty.

Traits: Darnell is a psychopath, he has no troubles with lying, deceiving, hurting or killing
people for his own personal gain. He possesses sociopathic traits, because as well as a lack of
empathy, Darnell actually enjoys hurting and killing people as it satisfies his own personal needs.
Over the years of killing animals and then eventually people, Darnell started to train his mind to
believe that he was entitled to take these lives as he believes in survival of the fittest and deems it
ok to kill if he’s looking out for himself. This warped mindset also highlights some of the strong
narcissistic traits of his character that makes Darnell’s mind so complex and fascinating.
