Seasons

freezing temperatures, icy conditions and sometimes snow.
Winds
United Kingdom experiences strong winds from the south-west. These winds can bring mild
and moist air from the Atlantic Ocean or colder air from the Arctic.

Rainfall
In the UK it gets about 133 days of rainfall each year. The western parts tend to recive more
rainfall compared to the eastern parts.

Severe weather
Storms and heavy rainfall are common, especially during the winter months. These weather
events can bring strong winds, flooding and sometimes snow.

Tornadoes
The United Kingdom has at least 33 tornadoes per year. Although most tornadoes are weak,
there are occasional destructive events.
