Greek traditions

Greek wedding
Greece is a country full of culture and traditions, of which
we can mention:
- Breaking of dishes at weddings: in antiquity, dishes were
broken at the door of the bride and groom's future home
because the Greeks believed that the noise of breaking dishes
would deceive and ward off evil spirits.
- Apokries (Greek Carnival): The festivity begins 10 weeks
before Greek Orthodox Easter and ends on the Sunday before
the day known as “Monday of purification”, which is something
similar to Ash Wednesday in the Christian calendar.
