Assignment Style Sheets & Instructions

Notes for both drafts and revisions:

1. When submitting your assignment, please ensure that your DOCX and PDF files have
filenames following this format (Avoid white spaces in filenames and use camel case):
Writing1DraftAlvin.docx and Writing1RevisionAlvin.pdf.
2. Assignment formatting should adhere to the following guidelines: double-spaced, 12-point
font size, and Times New Roman. Formatting details to observe: (a) Margins on all sides
should be set to 1 inch (or 2cm); (b) Page numbers should be right-aligned at the bottom. You
can find a template provided in the appendix at the end of this document.
3. All digital files must be submitted via Moodle, while hard copies should be placed in the
mailbox (inside a yellow envelope) outside the instructor's office. Due dates are consistent for
both digital files and hard copies.
4. For digital files, always submit both MS-DOC(X) and PDF files
5. The maximum page limit for your assignment is two A4-sized pages, and it should be printed
double-sided. You only need one sheet of paper.
6. During the first semester, our focus is on paragraph writing. Therefore, aim to craft one
paragraph for each writing assignment. You can refer to the syllabus for specific paragraph
length expectations.
7. Please note that late submissions will not be accepted. Both electronic files and hard copies
must be submitted by the specified due date and time.
8. You must provide a ChatGPT Proofreading Workshet for each writing assignment (both
DOCX, PDF, and printed copy).
9. Please staple all printed documents together as one package; otherwise, the assignment will
not be accepted.
– Document order for draft assignment: Draft > ChatGPT;
– Document order for revision assignment: Revision > ChatGPT > Original Draft.

Notes for revisions:

1. Assignments that do not adhere to the required format or undergo significant revisions will
not be considered for acceptance.
2. All revision assignments need to be submitted along with the original drafts.
