INTRODUCTION
This manual is a supplement to the main user guide for
ESBO written by EQUA. This manual primarily describes
the feature unique to Swegon that are not included in the
main user guide, yet some features are also mentioned in
the EQUA documentation for ESBO and IDA ICE.
The manual applies to all versions of Swegon ESBO, i.e.
both the Light version and the full paid version.

SOFTWARE

Back to the portal page File Window Help

Use the button on the menu bar to return to the portal

page from inside the software. This function may be useful
if, for example, you wish to change language, flow unit
etc. after you have started the software.

Palette
The palette is shown when you create a new project with
the function Create project. The palette consists of two
tabs, By type and By manufacturer.
• The By type tab contents all building elements,
materials, heating system, cooling system, ventilation
etc. Swegon systems and products are also available
here. Selecting one of these starts Swegon’s product
selection program ProSelect where you can configure
and select a product which is then added to the list for
each system.
• The By manufacturer tab contents the Swegon
products you have created and collected in your
own library. Some products are included from the
offset, and more are added as you make your own
configurations in ProSelect.

CONNECTING TO PROSELECT
Clicking on either a Swegon system or a Swegon product
starts an adapted version of ProSelect. Here it is possible to
select and configure products for the project in question.
This version of ProSelect is solely available via Swegon
ESBO while the full version is available on Swegon.com.

First choose Product group and then the required product.

Once you have selected the product group select the

required product. In this example PARASOL is selected.

See the next page for possible settings.

VENTILATION
In the standard Ventilation dialogue it is possible to select
between Constant air volume (CAV) and Variable air
volume (VAV).

The dialogue appears differently in instances when you

select a Swegon product. Here you select Variable air
volume (DCV) by checking the check box.. For the selection
of DCV you need to state Ventilation air flow, Occupied air
flow and Non-occupied air flow.

Check whether CO2/VOC should be a part of the control.

It is also possible to select the type of sequence to be acti-
vated first. Select either Cool/heat with air before water or
Cool/heat with water before air.

TEMPLATE ROOMS
Template rooms in Swegon ESBO are started or completed
calculations that aim to:
• Enable the user to quickly make calculations
• Give tips about common values for different room
types when not all the conditions are known
• Give proposals of solutions for different types of
rooms
• Give the user opportunities to compare his own solu-
tion with template rooms to determine whether the
outcome is reasonable
• Enable new users to get started quickly by starting
from a template room and correcting known details
• A template room called “water” must handle the
cooling output waterborne. The level for the air flow
is only the min. flow
• A template room called “air” must handle the cool-
ing output airborne. The room has no waterborne
cooling, but the cooling output usually comes from a
central air cooler in the air handling unit
When updating template rooms the information will be
available on Swegon ESBO’s portal page.
Additional template rooms will be added continuously.
Contact Swegon if you require a room type by sending an
e-mail to the address supportesbo@swegon.com
