PT200MI set up calibration

Before calibration, the functions must be set for the capacity and division. Please
ensure this is performed as on P8 in the manual. If you wish to know the function
settings to make we can assist, please advice the following:

• the scale capacity (display at full load),example 5000kg

• the number of load cells, example 3 load cell
• the model and capacity of load cells, example PSB-2500kg
• the division or step you wish to display, example 2 kg step.

Calibration

To start the calibration ensure the jumper (linking wire) is in place as per the manual
P17. Connections are shown on P7.

With the scale empty, referring to P17 in the manual, press the MODE key and then
the TARE key so that CAL1 shows.

Press the MODE key.

After performing zero calibration without error, the indicator will display “ . ” or
“00000.0”. The GROSS annunciator will be flashing.

If a new span calibration is to be set put the known calibration weight on to the
weighing platform, use the ZERO key to move the decimal point to the digit to be set
and the TARE key to set the digit so that the reading of the indicator is the same as
the value of the standard weight.

Press the MODE key to perform the calibration. The calibration will only perform if
the calibration load is stable and if the motion light is not showing.

Take care to note the position of the decimal point and the division prior to entering
calibration mode. as the value entered during span calibration should be in the same
format as that set for display during function setup. i.e. if the scale has been set to
show “100.00” at maximum capacity and the division is 5 then a known calibration
load of 76.05 would be entered as 7605.

The decimal point does not show. as it is used to indicate the digit being set.

Note: The minimum calibration load required is 100 times the step width.

After span calibration turn the power to the indicator off and then back on to return to
weighing mode.
