This document is here to discuss on what is brand new compared to eXPerience R1 and to point out

issues you should be aware of.

I also want to say how grateful I am for everyone who used Windows eXPerience R1 and the amount of videos and
articles are made about it. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the positive reception of Windows eXPerience.

As it's my mod, I do not feel obligated to add or change anything you suggest, don't take this rudely as I
don't have the manpower to do everything that people suggest.

Windhawk is also installed by default, and is required for proper functionality of the mod. The UI of
Windhawk has been deleted to save space for the mod. If you want to use Windhawk normally, uninstall
the program through Control Panel. Make sure that you are not uninstalling the program's settings.

· Mod is now based on Windows 10 LTSC 2021 (21H2), instead of LTSC 2019 (1809).
· Remade Visual Styles for Luna and Royale and it's variants.
· Modified Control Panel to look more accurate.
· FindeXer has been replaced with a accurate recreation of the Common Tasks sidebar using
DirectUI.
· Start Buttons uses resources from the Visual Style via a fork of Open Shell.
· Address bar and Throbber have been remade thanks to ClassicExplorer.
· Mozilla Firefox has now been upgraded to 115.9.1 with a rewrite of eXPerienceFox. (Internet
Explorer 6 theme for Mozilla Firefox)
· Many visual style changes all across the board for a more accurate feeling to Windows XP.
· More accuracy changes across the board.

· Some online games with an anti-cheat may not work with the mod.
· The Appearance tab on Display Properties crashes the applet, use "Change Theme" on the
Control Panel to change themes.
· Some programs might show the wrong Caption Text color.
· Dialogs, Strings, and Menus will be unmodified if you use any language other than en-US.
· Any DPI above 100% will be broken. This mod is incompatible with ANY type of DPI scaling.
· Tray area of the taskbar will be broken when showing all tray icons.
· Volume system tray may not change the volume. This depends on your sound configuration and
the Sound Devices.
· Some of the menus on File Explorer will not work (ex. "Favorites", "Help"). These are only here
for the sake of accuracy and being faithful to Windows XP.
· Internet & E-mail may look wrong on Royale/Royale Noir & Zune/Embedded, this can be fixed by
adding one blank character when renaming each of them.
· Windows Messenger does not work. This is due to Microsoft shutting down the servers. If you
feel so in using it, look for trusted services that hosts servers for MSN/Windows Live Messenger. I
personally recommend in using Escargot (https://escargot.chat/). Though be cautious on using
 these outdated services, even if they're secure.
