The industrial training shall carry 300 marks and pass marks is 50%. A candidate failing to
secure the minimum marks should complete it at his own expenses.
During industrial training the candidate shall put in a minimum 90% attendance.
INDUSTRIAL TRAINING SCHEME
(V SEMISTER)
• A candidate shall be assessed twice in each spell of industrial training i.e, at the third and
sixth months before he/she has completed the industrial training.
• The assessment shall be carried out by a committee comprising of
(a) A representative of the industry where the candidate is undergoing training
(b) A staff member of the concerned section of the polytechnic
• The assessment at the end of the third and sixth months of training shall each carry 100
marks for the progress made during the corresponding period of training.
• The remaining 100 marks are allotted as follows for the training record 30 marks, log book
30 marks and for seminar 40 marks. These are to be evaluated at the institution at the end
of each spell of training by a committee consisting faculty members and Head of the Dept.
concerned.
• Any of in discipline/missbehaviour or willful damage of the equipment at the industry by
trainee shall be treated seriously and the same will affect the award of assessment marks;
or even cancellation of training undergone by the trainee during the training period.
• The progress made during the end of each assessment will be evaluated for a total of 200
marks on the basis of various parameters specified in assessment report.
