Language learning has thrived significantly in the

golobalization, and the use of online resources has become

increasingly prevalent in language classrooms. One such
resource that has gained popularity is the online dictionary.
However, using this technology device can have pros and cons.
Using an online dictionary brings us many benefits. Firstly, it is
essential for learner to look up a new word. When you take up a
new language you will see a wide range of vocabularly and
having an online dictionary provides quickly and easily
acess. For example, when I study at secondary school, in my
english class I can use my mobilephone to look up a new word
so that my teacher do not need to stop the lesson to answer my
question.
Secondly, an online dictionary usually have a audio to show us
how to pronoun the word I search and I think it help learner very
much to enhance pronounciation skills. I have a friend who used
to bad at speaking however when I give her an advice that she
should use the audio in online dictionary to know how to the
vocabulary is pronouned so that her pronounciation has
improved very much.
On the other hand, this device also has the drawbacks. It is
important to acknowledge that using online dictionaries in
language classes is dependent on a stable internet connection. In
certain situations, such as in remote areas or during technical
disruptions, network connectivity may be unreliable or
unavailable. This can pose a significant challenge for language
learners who rely on online dictionaries for quick word lookups
and definitions
To sum up, There are good things as well as bad thing
of using an online dictionary. However, I do belive that the
advantages outweigh the disadvantages. If learner know how to
exploit most aspects of this device, using online dictionary will
become the best choice for students.
