For its marketing function Asics utilizes a set of different strategies which helps the brand
differentiate it self from competitors in the consumer market. The first strategy includes Athlete
Endorsements and sponsorships. Asics partners up with well known athletes around the world for
example Novak Djokovic, Usain Bolt and Gareth Bale in order to associate itself with well known
athletes and make it self a worthy choice for individuals searching for a quality sports shoe. These
partnerships act as recommendations for the effectiveness and quality of ASICS products in addition
to increasing brand awareness. Asics also focuses on event sponsorships in order to increase its reach
in the market, in the past Asics has worked with The Olympics and FIFA World cup managements in
order to boost its image in the market. By partnering with major events as an official supplier or
clothing manufacturer, ASICS guarantees top exposure during live broadcasts that are seen by billions
of viewers worldwide. This broad reach strengthens the relationship between ASICS and elite sports
