1. Given two points P(-3,10) and Q(6, -8). Then find the coordinate of R(x, y) such that
a) R trisects PQ b) R divides PQ in the ratio 4:1
2. If the vertices of ABC are A(1 ,1), B(4,5) and C(7, 1), then find the perimeter of the triangle.
3. Find the slope and equation of the line having:
a) two points (0, 2) and (3, 2) b) a point (2, 5) and y-intercept 3
4. Determine the value of k for which the line
a) is parallel to the x-axis b) passes through the point (1, 1)
In each case write the equation of the line.
5. The vertices of ABC are A(3, 4), B(1, 1) and C(5, 2). Then find
a) length of the side BC
b) height of the altitude from A to BC
c) the area of the triangle
6. Determine the center & radius of a circle defined by

7. Find the vertex, focus, equation of directrix and the length of latus rectum of the
parabola defined by

8. Find the coordinates of the Center, foci, the length of major and minor axis, length of
latus rectum, and eccentricity of the ellipses defined by

9. Find the equation of the hyperbola with


a) center C(4, -2), focus F(7, -2) & Vertex V(6, -2).
b) Foci (±4, 0), length of latus rectum is 12
10. Find the coordinates of the vertex, foci and eccentricity, and asymptotes of a hyperbola
defined by
