the Food Corporation of lndia by means of an lPO. The
members of a trade union wrote to the Lokpal alleging
that there would be loss of livelihood and job security and
this was a step towards privatisation. The Lokpal issued
a notice to the Central Govt. to explain its stand on the
matter. The Government replied that it was a policy matter
and that the Lokpal had no jurisdiction to issue a notice.
